A New Path for Girls to Join Armed Forces

For many years, structured defence training opportunities were limited mainly to boys. However, with changing times and increasing opportunities in the Armed Forces, a strong need was felt to create a dedicated platform for girls.

This vision led to the establishment of GSPI Nashik (Girls Services Preparatory Institute) — Maharashtra’s first institute focused on preparing girls for NDA and defence services.

🚀 Why GSPI Nashik Was Started

With the inclusion of girls in the NDA, the demand for structured and disciplined training increased rapidly. GSPI Nashik was established to:

Provide equal opportunities to girls in defence careers
Prepare students for NDA entrance and SSB interviews

Create a strong foundation for Armed Forces careers

📅 When GSPI Nashik Started

GSPI Nashik started its first academic session in June 2023, marking a historic step in defence education for girls in Maharashtra.

The institute was approved by the state government and designed on the same successful model as SPI Aurangabad.

2-year residential training program after Class 10
Academic education (Class 11 & 12 – Science stream)
NDA written exam preparation
SSB interview training
Physical and mental development training

🎯 Training & Preparation

GSPI Nashik focuses on overall personality development through:

Lectures and group discussions
Defence exposure visits
Training sessions by experienced faculty
English communication improvement

Each cadet gets at least two chances to appear for the NDA exam during training.
